Last year I created a website for my portfolio using free builder wix.com. The website builder is easy to use and has many options and templates, however if you want to get rid of their advert on the website you need to upgrade and the plans that they offer are not the cheapest ones. That is why I am ready now to try again and find something else. I also want to have a normal domain name, which was also expensive to have if I staid with wix.com.

To create a new website first of all I needed to find a good building website, that would allow me to do it easily and wouldn't be too expensive. I looked at many websites, compared them and read the reviews.
I found a couple website builders that were very cheap and at the first sight looked really good, but after reading comments and reviews about them I found that they usually crash if you receive many visitors, may be a little bit clunky to use or have other problems.
So to have something better need to pay a little bit more. But not all the time the most expensive one is going to be the best too. I looked at other websites like create.net, jimdo.com, squarespace.com, wordpress.com and others.
And I decided that the best one for me is weebly.com. As I used it before (created an exhibition website) I know how it works and that it allows to create a simple design pretty easy and quick. It also is one of the cheapest that I could find, which works for me at the moment.
