Professional Frameworks 2 - MIS

BRIEF:

Printed portfolio of images professionally presented in a box or book (or equivalent – must be negotiated)
You should print 6 min and 15 max images. This is work that best represents your practice and the market you wish to enter (art, food, packshot, press etc.)
Presented in a professional manner – prints in sleeves in a print box or portfolio book etc., as you deem appropriate.

Statement, please use this to describe your project in relation to the learning outcomes of the module

Research and development casebook, including:
Job pack: PDP, LinkedIn online profile, cv, cover letter, and job applications (these must be written against a published adverts – please include original advert and other information associated with that e.g. person spec)

Research Blog: Should include your reflections and interpretations of all scheduled sessions. You should show all of your research and project development, including experimentation, reflection, editing choices etc.

A CD containing digitised versions of all of the above.


DELIVERABLES:

Printed portfolio (70%)

  • Demonstrate the application of appropriate and effective communication techniques via the compilation of a portfolio of work to a basic professional standard
  •  Engage in the identification of personal and career aspirations, with regard for their own limitations in knowledge and skills
  •  Understand how to professionally approach and deliver independent projects



Research and development casebook. Including PDP, Job pack, research blog & statement (30%)

  • Demonstrate an understanding of professional photo practice and the issues affecting the development of business and enterprise environments
  •  Engage in structured reflective practice and the critical evaluation of their own work
  •  Identify local and national resources related to photography
  •  Identify opportunities for self-directed practice
  •  Demonstrate an ability to identify and make use of professional networks
  •  Apply knowledge to a range of market opportunities across the photographic sector
  •  Engage in professional practice dialogue, presenting structured and reasoned ideas behind the development and/or delivery of digital photographic portfolios 
  •  Evaluate the broad field of photographic communication and/or related visual art practices in relation to market opportunities
